The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 3/4 tsp sea salt

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar

  • 1/3 cup raw sugar

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 cup chocolate chips (dark Chocolate)

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chunks

  • Flaky sea salt Optional

 

Instructions:

  1. preheat oven to 350F and line baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a microwave safe bowl melt your butter until just melted. Set aside to cool.

  3. In a medium size bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder baking soda and salt. Set aside

  4. In a large mixing bowl add your cooled butter and both sugars to the bowl. Using a standard mixer or hand mixer, mix the butter & sugar together until light and creamy.

  5. whisk in the egg and vanilla until smooth

  6. pour dry ingredients into wet ingredients mix until just incorporated but still some flour streaks are there. pour chocolate into mixer and fold chocolate into mixer.

  7. Scoop cookies onto baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes depending on size of cookies.

Recipe makes 12 cookies
